Guardian Home Opportunity

Northern Lights Labradoodles is seeking guardian homes. Please read to see if you qualify for one of our puppies. 

A Guardian home program allows families to raise a breeders top pick puppy as their own while the breeder retains breeding rights for a set number of litters, (usually 4-5 litters for a female and up to age 5-6 for males.) Guardians provide a forever home, pay for daily careened must live within a short driving distance to the breeder. Northern Lights Labradoodles

 + 4 key requirements and responsibilities include:

• Location : within 50 miles of Wasilla
• Safety : a secure, fenced yard is required
• Training : Must socialize the dog, provide basic training and follow feeding/health protocols
• Breeding Duties : For females, this includes identifying heat cycles, strong communication to the breeder, returning the dog to us during heat cycles and whelping. For males, this means making them available for breeding appointments
• Costs : We cover ALL costs for breeding related expenses. 

Benefits:

• Lower Initial Cost: Often, a "pick of the litter" puppy is provided at a significantly discounted rate (e.g., $400) or compensated $400 for females and & $100 for males. 
• Retirement: Once the dog retires from breeding, it is spayed/neutered at the breeder's expense, and full ownership transfers to the guardian. 
• We also offer free boarding for each guardian home dog that's  in our program, if needed as long as we are in town.
